The BioHub™ is a fingerprint authentication device that fits into a CompactFlash (CF) card slot in a pocket PC that operates in the Windows® CE (version 3.0) or Microsoft® Pocket PC environment. It compares a live fingerprint with the fingerprint template stored in the pocket PC.
Each BioHub is shipped with custom software for biometric enrollment, file encryption, access control to the pocket PC, and fingerprint collection for identification applications. An Evaluation Kit is available for evaluating the BioHub's capabilities and a Developer's Tool Kit can be purchased after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
BioHub Evaluation Kit
The BioHub Evaluation Kit allows a user to evaluate the BioHub's core functionality and determine how best to use handheld devices within an organization. This kit includes:
- One BioHub module incorporating the fingerprint imaging module.
- The User Maintenance program for enrolling on the pocket PC and CompactFlash cards.
- The Access Control program that controls entry and access to the pocket PC.
- omplete documentation including a help file and online BioFamily Software Reference.
BioHub Developer's Kit
The BioHub SDK includes function libraries for communicating with the BioHub, acquiring a fingerprint image, verifying a live fingerprint template with a stored template, and other functions to help application development. Libraries are included for MIPS®, ARM®, and SH-3 processors, along with debug versions. The BioHub SDK includes:
- Libraries critical for BioHub programming
- BioFamily SDK: Programmer's Guide and Reference
- Debug files for sample compilation
- Sample executables
- C++ source code samples
